Despite the fact that the closed beta for Tom Clancy’s The Division is now live on the Xbox One and PS4, many people are still getting an error stating that services are now available. This seems to be fairly common and is making it so that many gamers are not able to access the beta at all.
The error that tends to pop up specifically says “The Division services are not available at this time”.
NOTE: During times of scheduled maintenance this error will also pop up. When it occurs during maintenance it’s simply because the servers are intentionally down and being worked on.
(2/20/16 – Servers are down for maintenance from 4am EST until 7am EST.)
As of right now, there doesn’t seem to be a conclusive fix for this. Ubisoft is aware of it and has responded to several reports asking players to attempt shutting off their consoles and restarting the game. If that doesn’t help, you may want to reach out to Ubisoft Support via Twitter, that seems to be the easiest and fastest way to get assistance.
Other problems people are encountering include beta access codes not working, IP addresses being banned during tests, and even errors claiming that the disc is not in the system or the player doesn’t have rights to access the online features of The Division.
According to everything we’ve read about these issues it seems that Ubisoft is indeed investigating them and is working to resolve the problems. It’s still wise to report any issues you have with the game directly to their support team in the meantime so that they can collect more information for these problems and see that it’s happening to quite a lot of people, hopefully encouraging them to speed up resolutions.
NOTE: Most of these issues seem to be happening on the Xbox One and PS4 platforms. A few problems have been reported from PC users as well, but not quite as many.
